Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats
Members of the Socialist Group and the Italian Partito Democratico are to form a political group at a special meeting at 15h00 today in room JAN 4Q2 of the European Parliament in Brussels.
There will be limited camera access at the beginning of the meeting. Members will vote on a provisional new name - the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.
A new Group leader will be chosen by secret ballot. The new leader's name is expected to be announced at 16.30
