The Group today roundly condemned military intervention that forced Honduran President Manuel Zelaya Honduras into exile.
 
In a statement issued in Brussels, the Group added its voice to internaitonal calls for a return to democratic legitimacy and constitutional order in the country.
 
Group vice-president Maria Badia said:  "We are concerned by the possible consequences that the crisis could have in the region, which has countries whose democracies are very weak."
